My Photo Gear
Near Owl Creek Pass
I currently use Canon cameras and lenses, which I love, and pack all my gear in a Tamrac backpack for transport and safekeeping. I am currently using the canon 50D and have been very pleased with the results. I opted for the crop sensor (1.6) so as to have more reach on the long end.

For wide angle shots, I went with the 10-22mm EF-S, which is roughly a 16-35mm equivalent on a full frame camera. So far I have been very happy with the results. In fact, my wife just upgraded to the 5D mark II and offered me her 5D (mark I). I considered it, but opted to stay with my current rig. Although the image quality is slightly better on the 5D, the extra megapixels and the additional length is a closer match to my shooting style.
